Human Impact on Biodiversity in Latin America

This graphic data is very helpful for my research. It shows that Latin America has many areas that are sparsely populated with high biodiversity. This is especially true for places like the Andes (region which is of particular interest to me) and the Amazon Forest. Although both of these areas have similar patterns, they are two different biomes which this graphic data emphasizes.
Although it is useful to see these areas in Latin America and their biomes, the legend over-emphasizes this variable. There should be more variables in a separate legend. Furthermore, this graphic data could be even more informative with the incorporation of more layers (ie the kinds of human impact: agricultural, etc).
Furthermore, the GLOBIO analysis (imported through GIS) shows that these areas have seen minor human impact, while the coasts and plains have higher biodiversity but fragmented habitats. This graphic data could be more thorough if it showed these fragmented habitats and what they are since it already incorporates biomes. A comparison between the biodiversity factors with how fragmented these habitats are could also be very useful.
